Blueberry Peacock Cichlid

Blueberry OB Zebra cichlids are a species of Mbuna found in the rocky waters on the Maleri and Nankoma Islands and the Chidunga Rocks in Malawi. Blue Berry OB Zebra are a sexually dimorphic species of Mbuna. Males have pale blue bodies which feature a spotted pattern of different shades of blue. Females are dark beige in color with barely noticeable vertical bars across their bodies. They can grow as long as six” in length and typical aggressive behavior which is common with most species of Mbuna.

Due to their preference for rock-filled waters, they do best when are kept in aquariums with plenty of rocks and caves. They are herbivores, and should be fed vegetable-based diet of flakes or pellets. We suggest feeding them spirulina flakes supplemented with sinking vegetable based cichlid pellets.
